What does the Effipro Duo Spot-On for Cats pack contain?

The Effipro Duo Spot-On for Cats Pack of 2 contains two boxes of 4 pipettes, i.e. 8 doses of 0.5 ml. It is a veterinary medicine for topical use containing fipronil and pyriproxyfen.

The combination acts on adult parasites and immature stages of the flea. The non-drip system makes it easy to apply the dose directly to dry skin.

What is this dual-action antiparasitic treatment used for?

It is indicated for use where fleas are present, either alone or in combination with ticks. A single application prevents new flea infestations for 5 weeks. It also prevents flea eggs from hatching into adults for 12 weeks.

Against the ticks Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus turanicus, it offers persistent activity for 1 week. If ticks are already attached, not all of them will die within the first 48 hours.

Composition of Effipro Duo for cats

How is Effipro Duo used?

1. Remove a pipette from the blister pack and hold it upright.
2. Gently tap the narrow end and snap off the tip along the marked line.
3. Part the hair at the back of the neck until healthy, dry skin is visible.
4. Apply the dose to one or two spots, ensuring the liquid does not remain on the fur.

For cats weighing 1 to 6 kg, use a 0.5 ml pipette. Cats weighing over 6 kg require a different dose; consult the package leaflet or your vet. The interval between applications must not be less than 4 weeks.

Which cats is this product intended for?

It can be used on cats from 10 weeks of age and weighing at least 1 kg. In sick or weakened animals, the vet should assess whether to use it. Professional assessment is also required during pregnancy or lactation.

Adverse effects to be aware of

It may temporarily leave the fur damp or cause slight flaking. In very rare cases, skin reactions, excessive salivation, vomiting, respiratory symptoms or reversible neurological disturbances have been observed. If any reaction occurs, consult your vet.
